Dr. Pergola has been conducting clinical research since 2005. He earned his medical degree (M.D.) from the Universidad del Salvador, Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1988. He completed his Doctor of Philosophy degree (PhD.) from the University of Kansas Medical Center, Dept. of Pharmacology, Toxicology and Therapeutics in 1991. Dr. Pergola completed his post graduate training at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) with board certifications in internal medicine and nephrology. Dr. Pergola has also been a specialist in clinical hypertension. In 1999 he joined the faculty at UTHSCSA as Assistant Professor of Medicine where he remained until May 2005 when he joined Renal Associates. Upon joining Renal Associates, PA he established the Research Division which became Clinical Advancement Center, PLLC (CAC) on January 1, 2013. As the Research Director and Principal Investigator for CAC, Dr. Pergola has broad acumen of clinical research experience and is passionate about providing clinical research opportunities to his patient’s treatment paradigm
